Colorado Retreat: Snowshoe the Snow Moon

Trip Highlights Experience the magic of sisterhood in the snow on this 2-night guided retreat near Steamboat Springs, Colorado. Backpack to yurts under the Full Snow Moon. Stargaze by the bonfire in a reflective full moon ritual. Snowshoe to a summit and catch a new perspective on yourself and your surroundings. Dip into natural hot springs deep in the mountains to lose yourself and find your soul. Activities This trip is rated as moderate. Participants should be capable of snowshoeing 4 miles (3-4 hours hiking time) carrying a light daypack. We will be traveling at high elevation between 9,400' ‘ and 10,800’ where the thinner air can be challenging in terms of performance. Itinerary Day 1: Arrive at camp by 6:00 pm, and we'll welcome the weekend with a full moon ritual by the bonfire. Enjoy storytelling and get to know one another and the significance of the stars and the moon this time of year. Day 2: Enjoy breakfast with a view by the yurts before heading into the mountains. Embark on a moderate 4-mile out and back hike to an old fire lookout and enjoy a picnic lunch while you take in the view. On the way back to camp, enjoy dinner in an old mining town still standing to this day. Day 3: After breakfast, break camp and head into the mountains to dip in natural hot springs flowing creekside. Invigorate your soul as you relax in the hot pools and dip in the cold plunge. As you head out, grab lunch in town and check out local points of interest with a self-guided itinerary provided by your guide upon departure.
